ROLE OF PARENTS

Parents, by word and example, are the primary educators and teach their children from birth throughout life. At Baptism, the parent undertakes the responsibility of providing for their child’s Catholic formation. Children take their example from parents. If you pray, they will pray. If your faith is important to you, it will be important to your children. If you are kind to others and treat them with respect, your children are sure to follow. Come to church as a family, and your children will learn that they are a part of God’s larger family.

Attendance at Mass is an important part of faith formation and is the parent’s responsibility.
