Luke 9:1-6

The disciple’s preparation is twofold, accompanying Jesus on this mission, and continuing his work in future. Jesus gives his closest disciples his power and authority to preach, teach and heal. He gives them very specific instructions about what to take with them and not to be discouraged by rejection.

I find it difficult to “shake of the dust” and move on when rejected for speaking and/or acting in your name. Sometimes it has to do with my own pride but more often how sad it makes me feel for those who are not open to a relationship with you.
