John 14:7-14

Jesus speaks of his Father repeatedly in today’s Gospel. No matter what he says and how many times he says it, the disciples don’t understand. With a hint of exasperation, Jesus wonders how, after all the time they have had together, they still don’t know him.

You stand by me patiently. Your love and boundless mercy save me from myself and all my failings.
