John 10:27-30

The fourth week of Easter begins with what is often called Good Shepherd Sunday. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who will lay down his life for his flock. This discourse is aimed at those gathered who ask for the truth but are unwilling to accept what Jesus says regarding who Jesus is. They do not believe, but his flock believes and will gain eternal life.

I do know you, though not yet completely for I am weak and easily distracted. There are times when I hear your voice but I ignore you. I ask your forgiveness.
