Mark 10:28-31

Peter is disturbed by Jesus’ challenge. Again, he speaks for the disciples, saying that they have given up everything, their life’s work, families, homes, possessions. Jesus acknowledges their sacrifice and offers them reassurance by telling them that they will be rewarded for the choices they have made.

I don’t always find comfort in eternal reward when I am riddled with anxiety about the here and now. Holy Spirit, I need your reassurance.
