Matthew 5:43-48

Jesus tells his followers that being a disciple demands that they are to love not only those who love them, but their enemies as well. God created all people, and they must love as God loves — an inclusive, unconditional, and generous love.

I may not like what others do or how they behave, but you tell me to love them. Sometimes that is really difficult. It helps to have your standard of love to guide me. It also helps to remember that I don’t always do what is right or behave well, yet you continue to love me. Thank you.
