Mark 2:13-17

There is a place at the table for everyone. In this gospel reading, Jesus makes it quite clear that he is especially concerned about those who are weak and in need of healing. He reaches out to them at the table of fellowship. This raises the ire of the Pharisees who seem to feel that only the righteous belong.

I am grateful for knowing that there is a place for me at your table. Give me the grace to invite others and welcome them in the same way.
