Mark 9:30-37

Jesus’ second prediction of his Passion and Resurrection is lost on his disciples. Their hesitancy to question Jesus is indicative of their fear of what lies ahead. Jesus asks them about their discussion while traveling, knowing full well their concern with status. He tells them that the greatest are the childlike, humble and trusting.

I know that I fear the unknown. Sometimes I want to remain ignorant. I pray for increased trust in your will and the courage to ask, even though I fear your answer.
