Luke 6:27-38

Jesus’ merciful love and that of his Father is radical. Nonetheless, it is the compassionate love that must be the mark of a disciple. Loving one’s enemies and being merciful to the undeserving makes no sense according to human standards. Our actions must be based entirely on faith in the will of the Father.

Help me to forgive offenses, not to judge or condemn, and to give without counting the cost.
