Luke 9:28B-36

The three apostles closest to Jesus accompany him on his journey up the mountain to pray. As close as their relationship might be, they abandon him by falling asleep in his time of need. They wake to witness him in his glory and with him Moses and Elijah signifying Jesus’ identity as God’s Son.

Your glory stands in stark contrast with your suffering and death and yet they are closely linked like Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
