Luke 12:13-21

Jesus speaks out against greed in response to a man’s question. The man wants to know how he can acquire his share of his family inheritance. Jesus tells a parable about the pitfall of earthly possessions. A person will not be prepared for the kingdom if acquiring and hoarding things becomes more important than emptying out and sharing with others.

I pray for the grace and strength to focus on the here and now and not the future. You are with me now and will be with me then.
