Matthew 25:1-13

This parable brings to mind the Scout motto, “be prepared.” The wise bridesmaids recognize that the bridegroom could arrive at any time so they remain awake and prepared to greet him. The foolish bridesmaids second guess his return and are caught by surprise. It is for us to always to be prepared in mind, body and spirit for our reunion with our Creator in eternity.

Let me not put off to tomorrow what I need to do today and every day. Be with me when excuses come into my mind.
