Matthew 22: 34-40

It is not unusual for Jewish teachers to be asked to summarize the law. Though the question is posed in an attempt to trick Jesus, he does not enter into an argument. His response is a concise summation of the two commandments of love, the foundation and heart of God’s law.

Thank you for guiding me to focus on that which is essential. I all too often get caught is the web of that which is unimportant. Love is the key.
