Luke 12:49-53

Jesus has come to bring about the kingdom. He knows the cost. There will be suffering, his own and that of his disciples. As he remains faithful to the will of the Father, so must they. Through the trials and division, victory will be achieved with the coming of the kingdom.

Every day there is new news that confirms how upside down the world has become. It is frightening, but in spite of it all your promises bring gentle reassurance.
