Matthew 19:13-15

 

Jesus’ reputation is such that mothers bring their children to him for prayers of blessing. As would be expected Jesus is most receptive but the disciples are not. Jesus uses this occasion to teach about God’s Kingdom. It has nothing to do with status but rather childlike dependence on God.

 

You care for the little ones. Guide us in ways of being good advocates, good caregivers especially for those weak and vulnerable.
